Travelled to Krabi Thailand with Nicole & bf, and Cat.

Nicole said it would be a lazy trip and it pretty much was. Indeed she was swimming for 10 minutes, lying on the beach for the whole damn afternoon. Laziness spread like a virus and we were all lying on the beach doing nothing, like dead fishes, except for Cat. She was swimming and snorkeling, and coming back to us with seashell and a complaint, 'There's nothing under the water! Corals are dead!'

Well, that's pretty much about the trip. Nothing much. Beach and bikini. But i was lying on the white clean sands, looking at the blue sky. Nothing much.

After mating, the elephants will turn themselves into a towel.

2 of my friends left KL for work, for good.

Albert has left for Shanghai. ChieWen has left for Penang (not out of the country but still out of this town.) It makes me wonder why. Is life in KL getting bored? That's what Albert told me, 'I need something new.' I think he must be bored out of his mind.

Every now and then my circle of friends shrinks. This year it shrinks alot.

Irene told me, 'I know where you were in the past few weeks. You were in Bamboo bar, Scarlet and Velvet, right? Partying with Pouline right? No I can't let you go on like this. I must SAVE you from the darkness...'

'Dark...darkness? You mean Pouline?' I said.

'No, I mean the dance clubs lah! Pouline doesn't party as much as you do! From now on, if I have any traveling plan to go hiking, diving, or any nature exploring trip, i will count you in. You can't go clubbing all the time!' she's getting serious.

'Oh shit.' I just spat out two words and continued having my lunch.

A week later, the next thing I know is she signs me up to join a group of friends going to Mt. Kota Kinabalu in May 2008. Air ticket is purchased. Only then I realize Pouline the party queen is the tour guide of the hiking crew! I can't imagine how a party queen becomes a female tarzan. And the worst of all, do you think a guy who hardly moves his ass in dance club be able to climb up to the mountain top?

Big shit this time.

Concentration

Thursday, November 15, 2007

I've been observing some taglines on MSN for awhile. There are two extreme kinds:

The first kind: "It's been an awful day. Life is always full of sadness and loneliness. What can I do to make my life brighter?"

The second kind: "The greatest thing I've ever learned, is just to love, and be loved in return."

The first kind: "I know I'd never find anyone who truly loves me. I know the truth of love. Why am I staying out of love?"

The second kind: "It's my simple day in lonesome but I know the sun is shining out there and I'm smiling with my heart."

Both of them are girls. Both of them are single. But guys would probably be scared off by the first kind. At least the tagline has created a distance for guys to get closer. She's full of negative elements.

The second kind, simply lovely and charming.

Let's talk about the stupid space program that we, I mean the Russian, have recently sent our Angkasawan (astronaut) to the space. The trip was successful. Many ministers said that the Angkasawan program has enlightened the nation and this is a national pride to prove that Malaysia Boleh!

As a Malaysian, it's a shame to learn that the trip is indeed an exchange 'gift' of purchasing aircrafts from Russia. It costs us USD 900mil for 18 aircrafts (as what is said by the Ministry of Defense, USD 50mil per aircraft). Russia somehow likes this customer very much and promises to give a ticket for a Malaysian to be sent into the space as a gift for purchasing 18 aircrafts. The gift is not free of charge. In order to claim the ticket, our government has to spend another RM 90mil to get it. There goes the Angkasawan.

But in NASA website, our Angkasawan is not considered as an astronaut. He is merely a Spaceflight Participant.. .check out NASA news. Our government denied the statement, they claimed, 'our astronaut is real and all Malaysians should be proud of him. And we consider sending the second Angkasawan into the space...' Duhz..

So, the Russian helps us to send a Malaysian into the space. What's next? Build our own space station? Buy more weaponary like submarines, tanks, and AK-47 from Russia in order to get more tickets to the space? Is this the-more-you-buy, the-more-you-win thingy?

It was said that a well-trained dog can complete the tasks that what our Angkasawan had been trained for:
a. Do not push any buttons or turn any knobs.
b. Float around for a few days and return home.

Screw 'Malaysia Boleh'. It is always a false pride. If we can send all the ministers who support this program into the space, then I would be impressed by 'Malaysia Boleh'. OH? Too expensive to send so many ministers into the space? Nevemind, just buy a 1-way ticket. Don't come back to Earth.

There was a gun pointing at my head yesterday, telling me that, 'If you don't update your blog, I'm not going to visit your blog anymore!'

It was a threat.

So here I am, updating my blog. Seriously there was a gun pointing at my head. At least I felt that way. Haha.. Am I Kenny Sia? I'm not any of the famous bloggers in Malaysia, who cares if I don't update anything rite? Okay, Ok.. alrite...put that gun away. I update now.

Well, let me think. I've been hanging out with a group of new friends whom I think they're quite crazy and fun. I've been attending dinners and more dinners to come. I've just signed up a crazy trip (it's claimed to be crazy by Cat) to Krabi in December organized by Nic (...and Johny, I remember you...I know what you did 2 weeks ago. Haa..)

So, it's coming to the end of the year. And seriously I didn't notice it has come to the end of year (did I repeat that?)...oh, craps. Anyhow, it's quite a complicated yet fruitful year. Looking forward to having fun in the last two months of the year.

The other day on MSN,

'Hey, how's life?'
'Oh, life? My life has become a straight line and soon i'm going to hang myself with this straight line..'
'Good. Go hang yourself then...'
'How's about you? How's your life?'
'My life is awesome. I go gym. I attend a Japanese class. I play golf every weekend. I go to church every Sunday morning. It's contented. But sometimes I still find it very routine. Like a straight line.'
'Cool. Go hang yourself then...'

Its last name is Persona, coming along with a first name Proton.

Having a bad experience in driving a Proton car for 3 years in the past, I'm wondering how long the power window will last before you need to spend RM100 each time for a new power window socket, and repeatedly change the socket twice a year the 2nd year after you purchase the car? Not to mention the unopened power window. Will the engine last longer this time before it shakes itself and makes noises out so loud? And when the engine shakes so hard, will it shake other plastic compartments as well? Is the engine reliable? You might need to change a whole new engine within the first 6 months...

I'm wondering how long it would take before the gear box completely breaks down and throw you at the road side. I'm wondering how long it would take before the whole trunk is full of rain water when the rubber worn out. I'm wondering how long it would take before the fuel meter on the dash board stops moving and stays there forever and you don't know when your fuel will run out suddenly.

Given a choice, thanks but no thanks. And please, Proton, enough is enough. Stop coming up with new and lousy toy.

P/S: Thanks God I've got rid of that 3 and 1/2 year old Proton.

I found this somewhere in KL (check out the address on the sign board)

They're selling weapons and bullets! Is it legal here?? Let's go check it out and get ourselves a gun. Perhaps a bazooka is more convenient to wipe off all the rapists, robbers, and murderers since everyone is living in fear to survive in this crime city... uh, i meant KL this time. How many crime cities are there in Malaysia?

Gotta post something before somebody abandons this blog. Here's some pics taken in Velvet earlier last month.

Top left : Loohui & Alvin, me & LooHui
Bottom left : pretty Linda & Loohui, lovely couple Anna & Wayne

LooHui left for Australia last month and I'm missing a horror movie kaki ever since.
Linda, you better eat more to gain back your worrying weight!

Top left : Carolyn & Anna, me & Carolyn
Bottom left : Lilian, Anna & Wayne, and crazy Lilian..

There were double surprises when I saw Lilian. As usual, she was not very sober but she always claimed that she was. The first surprise came along with a long-time-no-see, and then the second surprise was that I just noticed Anna and Wayne knew her as well. Small world.

That's all. Argh, how am i going to end this entry? I'll update more when i come back from the crime city (JB... i meant). Will be going for a 3-day business trip again.

More than meets the eye...

Here's a few things of The Transformers movie that you might or might not know about:

  1. Why is Megatron a spaceship instead of a pistol or a gun? This is the answer from the writer: 'It's like Darth Vader of Star Wars turning into his own lightsaber and having someone else swing him around.' It wouldn't be cool after all.
  2. Why a truck with the front part tilts forward instead of flat front part is chosen for Optimus Prime? It is because the actual size of a truck with front part tilts forward would only be 20 ~25 feet tall after transformation... so they need to have the largest truck to make the leader of Aubobots look gigantic.
  3. Optimus Prime's voice played by Peter Cullen is the voice from the original cartoon.
  4. Instead of a Volk-Wagen Beetle, Bumblebee is a Chevrolet Camaro. Not only is the GM owned vehicle lines selected, the writers don't want the audience to compare Bumblebee with the Beetle from the animation movie Herbie the Love Bug.
  5. The Autobots did not travel to Earth by Ark. They don't need any transportation to fit themselves in because they're already a transportation.
  6. During post-production, fans expressed concern over Megatron's head design, so a last-minute tweak was done to satisfy them.
  7. Michael Bay, who had wanted to make a family film, was asked to direct, but he thought of it as a "stupid toy movie" in the first place.
  8. Inspired by Spielberg's E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Bumblebee was kept mute to stress his friendship with Sam as going beyond words.

Two of my favorite Transformers: Bumblebee and Optimus Prime.

Rumors for the possible sequel of Transformers:

  1. Jazz who died in the movie will be rebuilt as a tougher frame. Maintaining the movie look, but with a different color scheme and slight modifications.
  2. Soundwave is intended to be a new major character, with his presence allowing a proper introduction of mass-shifting. He was supposed to be playing the role of spy in the movie but the movie crew hasn't figured out how to transform him in a nicer way (Frenzy in the movie is just a Soundwave's minion)
  3. They also have a very cool idea on how to introduce the Dinobots and Constructicons, not to mention the transformation of an aircraft carrier character.
  4. There are 3 possible survivals of the Decepticons in the movie: Starscream (he runs away after attacking the jet fighters), Scorponok (the mechanized scorpion in the desert. He digs down the sand after the tip of his tail blown off), and Barricade (the police car that was thrown into a freeway support pillar by Optimus Prime).

I was awaken by Sharon at 7:05am this morning.
'Sam, help me. Heather's car broke down and we're heading down to Melaka for a fashion show.'
I then turned off the phone and continued sleeping.

The phone rang again.

'Sam, it's me Sharon. I really need your help. Can you fetch me and Heather to Melaka?'
'Sharon? it's...you..? I... slept at 4:30am this morning lah.. you.. find other friends lar..'
'No wait Sam, I couldn't find anyone. Help me please. The show starts at 1pm and we have to be there at 10am for rehearsal. You can come at 8:30am.'
'What time? So early? You kill me please, let me sleep...'
'C'mon, help me...you keep talking then you wouldn't be so sleepy.'
'Ok, Ok, just one way... i send you and Heather there but you two gotta find your way back. I got things to do in the afternoon.'
'Alright. Alright.'
'You try to find other people who can fetch you first. If you can't find, I'll send you there.'
'Ok'

Just right after I got my teeth brushed. She called and thanked me, and she said Heather found someone to fetch them both.

I got back to sleep instantly. What the hell~

P/S: I intended to help but I never practiced to drive with my eyes closed.

Went to Japan GT last Saturday with Johny. All i remember was when Johnny said,

'The sun is burning my eye brows.' and 'The sound is blasting off my ear drums.'

Yeah. We're sun-burnt and deaf...

Kay introduced a friend to me in a dinner.

I can't believe it. This friend I just got to know has the same birth date with me, which is on 2nd of February. And we're same age! Then it freaked me out when she told me she was born at night around 10:30pm and 'coincidentally' I was born at the same time! Same year, same month, same date, and even the same time.. the first thing ran thru my mind was, 'you gotta be kidding me~!'

First time in my life to meet such a coincidence. I feel like doing research on her to see whether we're having the same life and same destiny. Perhaps we could study each other's life and find out more coincidences. Bad idea.. but I still wonder if she thinks like me.

Beside that, she's a mix of Pakistanese and Chinese. Born in Malacca while i was born in KL. Yes, she got all the genes that a mix should have: sharp figures and pretty. I think God must have spent a little more time on her when she was born in Malacca and apparently HE did not have time to take care of the other one in KL...

As requested, and to keep this abandoned blog alive, i'm going to write another entry... it's not something obligable, i just got nothing much to tell in this mid-year of 2007.

I've been busy attending wedding dinners recently. I've roughly counted with my fingers, I think I got 14~15 wedding dinners to attend this year. Just can't run away from them because many of them are my close friends, my colleagues, and also some friends who have been nice to me. Well, I'll be broke by then but it's inevitable. Just teach me how to reject some unimportant red booms in a nicer way. Haa..

Besides, work is as usual. Life is also as usual. Clubbing? Yes, as usual. Better don't ask me to stay at home and face this lifeless monitor all night during weekends. I'd be killed by boredom.

Ok, that's all. To be continued if I have time to write. Maybe i shall just post some pics as an update. Later.

When bad lucks come, they don't come alone. They usually come in a group and one after another. I'm not really sure about their strategy yet, but it seems like they're going to strike me at least once in every 24 hours.

Godammit.

It's Bday

It was a Friday and also a replacement off day from work. I was sleeping at home. The smses and msn messages came in like a flood since early morning. I almost jumped out of the bed and tried to turn off the cellphone, but waitaminute..it was my birthday! I was wondering who had told the whole world about it, but then I realized Friendster was the one. The messages never stopped throughout the day.

A week after Elaine's birthday at Sky Bar, my highschool friends threw me a birthday party at the same place. In fact, I was the one who requested for a quiet place. Check out the photos before I threw up for the night:

No. It's NOT her bday...Thanks Sheyli for cutting the cake.

Some pics at Velvet again..

Bumped into long-lost Karen! I once heard that the best smile is that you can see 6 ~ 8 teeth showing in between the lips. I just counted, Karen has exactly 8 teeth in her smile. How sweet a smile is? You are seeing one. And it comes with extra bonus, the dimples!

Xenia showed me the way to get to her boutique. She tried. But I still don't know where it was. She told me the tops that she was wearing was one of her designs. Cool.

'Double Dimples'

Do you realize we all had the same pose and I had the same smile? No teeeth please! The doctor said the infection on my teeth was getting worse and they couldn't expose to flash light. So I listened. Haa..

Nic was running around between Zouk and Velvet. I could only see her during the last 30 minutes before I left. Didn't even snap a picture of her. She was the one who asked me to go Velvet and she disappeared all night...

Nevermind, I had fun.

It was Elaine's birthday @ Sky Bar, Traders Hotel.

There was a big dark cloud over the building and it was dizzling for a couple minutes when i was shooting for the two towers. Hence, you don't see the top of the towers.

Big Group and Elaine was the only one wearing yellow..

Cough

I can't talk loud or inhale hard. I've been coughing like hell for a week and I can't even laugh like usual because when I do so i'd cough both of my lungs out.

Sheyli told me to get some kind of Chinese medicine that came in a form of tablet but she couldn't name it out. She just said one of the words was 'monkey' something in Chinese. Dylan even told me to wrap my neck with a scarf during sleep to keep the throat warm!(Huh?!)

It's 12 midnight now and I haven't started packing for the 3-day business trip in S'pore. Just feel so sick to go there...

Life is tough

I was telling some friends that if my boss wants to screw us, he would screw us right away without even taking off our pants.

But then one of the friends said, 'My company is even worse. We never wear pants to work so my boss can screw us anytime he wants.'

Sorry for the bad language used. What a joke...haha!

1st clubbing in 2007

Last year, and the year before last, I told my friends and myself that we all should reduce the frequency of clubbing. We finally managed to cut it down from 3 times a month to once a month. What a great achievement!

But hell...recently, some friends who are back from oversea light up the desire to go clubbing again! And here we go, still hanging around in club scenes, having drinks, insanely partying over the quiet weekends.

Sigh..
