Mei June's Wed

In the past 4 days, I was running around from Melaka to Johor, then from Johor to Singapore. Exhausting business trip but kinda contented, except some shitty things my boss threw me.

So, I rushed to Crowne Plaza Hotel for Mei June's glorious wedding dinner with Cheryl. I still couldn't believe that Mei June is getting married because she doesn't change much since primary school. She still looks the same as she was in primary school but now she's married with a husband. I don't know how to describe this. In my poor memory she's still a young little girl I knew 15 years ago, then somehow we lost touch for the past 15 years. And when we get in touch back, she's getting married. I'm glad she has found the one who loves her so much.

I've been going to numerous weddings before this. Mei June's wedding is surely one of the best. Soft music played by a Jazz band. No Kitaro's famous theme or 'Final Countdown' came along with the first dish (together with the stupid lighting). No 70's karaoke. Cocktails are served. Beautiful deco on the stage and entrance. Oh yeah, not to forget the three large projectile screens that show a hilarious but lovely video of the ceremony in the morning. People are dressed up for the dinner. The ambience was chilled and romantic with calming color of lights. Best of all, no drunkards 'yam-seng' all night disturbing other guests around.

After all, a delightful night.

Everything has a Gender

You may not know this but many non-living things have a gender.

1. Copiers are Female, because once turned off; it takes a while to warm them up again. It’s an effective reproductive device if the right buttons are pushed, but can wreak havoc if the wrong buttons are pushed.
2. A Tire is Male, because it goes bald and it’s often over-inflated.
3. A Hot Air Balloon is Male, because, to get it to go anywhere, you have to light a fire under it, and of course, there’s the hot air part.
4. Sponges are Female, because they’re soft, squeezable and retain water.
5. A Web Page is Female, because it’s always getting hit on.
6. A Subway is Male, because it uses the same old lines to pick people up.
7. An Hourglass is Female, because over time, the weight shifts to the bottom.
8. A Hammer is Male, because it hasn’t changed much over the last 5,000 years, but it’s handy to have around.
9. A Remote Control is Female. Ha! You thought it’d be male , didn’t you? But consider this - it gives a man pleasure, he’d be lost without it, and while he doesn’t always know the right buttons to push, he keeps trying!

Have a good laugh of the day!

The Kong

It's a little late to comment on this movie.

Before I watched the show, everyone had watched it and their comments are as below:

Friend A: It's fantastic.
Friend B: Better watch in the cinema, it's wasted if you watch it on DVD.
Friend C: Well, it's just so-so, just a stupid-gorilla-falling-in-love story.
Friend D: Horny and desperate APE!

Still, I wanted to watch it in the cinema. Partly because of the director.

Here's what I heard after the show:

Girls with wet eyes: It's so touching. Wish I could have such a romantic boyfriend...
Guys with stoned expression: Awesome computer graphic. What a beast!

'It's the beauty kills the beast...'

Never frown..

New year wish? Ah. Wish. I just come across that and I think I only have one:

a) I want some peace with some of the amenities I need.

That's it.

Well i know sometimes it just feels more like shouting into an abyss. It hardly becomes true even the simplest one. Hmm...Dreams come true. Dreams come true. How many dreams will come true?

First thing to learn in 2006:

"Always remember that it takes 42 muscles to frown, and only 4 to stick up your middle finger."

Too many bastards wanna steal my peace of mind away. Middle finger could be the last soldier to defend my dignity.

Please, gimme Peace lah.
