My colleagues are talking about a billboard along LDP which is located just right outside of our office. It is a marriage proposal.

While driving pass the billboard this afternoon during lunch hour, I then realized that's Nentze's brother, David!

David had spent RM40k for the billboard and RM14k for the wedding ring. Wow. I think I sort of know why he put up a billboard at one of this chronically jammed highways. First of all, he and his family is in billboard advertising business (what would cost him less for such an ad?! He would probably get a great discount for that). Secondly, his house is just right behind the billboard. The location of the billboad is the perfect spot while he sends his girlfriend back from his house.

But then some ladies in my office said, 'If I were Kelly, I would rather have a ring that costs RM54k. Now she'd lose at least 2 carats!' Ah-HA, real woman! :P

Anyhow, the marriage proposal has stolen the limelight and it's on the first page of The Star newspapers.

Several of my good friends suggested a birthday party for me. So I chose Velvet.

I did invite some friends to come over but some did not show up. One of the lamest excuse from Dylan was, '...quarrel with girlfriend-lah. Now I have to settle the shit...'

'What the...'

And then, a few did not show up because of sickness and outstation. Well, there were about 20 of my close friends showing up. I lost the count.

When Velvet was getting crowded, then only I realized I had chosen the wrong place. My friends were separated in different corners, in different groups. Some were flying around like butterfly. Some were squeezed at a corner. Some seemed so bored standing at the bar counter. Sigh.

The faces that showed up

I would like to thank you for your attendance. Thanks for the birthday gift. Cheryl, thanks for the boxer, duh. Cat, thanks for coming all the way from Ipoh. Heng, thanks for buying the drinks. Julian, thanks for the action figure.

I would also like to thank Pouline and Irene for organizing the event. Thanks YanLee for helping me to call some friends. Thanks Dae for booking the place. Thank you, thanks for your support. This is a great honor to have this award. And I promise I'll do it better next year...

Yes, I know. More girls than guys. Sigh. Blame the lame excuse.
