Hitch said..
One of my fav quote in the movie Hitch:
"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away."

I miss star-spangled banner
I miss those days when my roommates and I woke up early in the winter morning, having our cereal breakfast while all staring at the freezing white thick snow outside the window. 15 minutes later we went back to sleep and skipped the class at 8:00am.
I miss those days when everyone started learning cooking and brought a dish or two to a potluck gathering at a friend's house. Frankly, some food were terribly tasted good.
I miss those days when we were studying, eating and sleeping in the library like our home until we saw the light of dawn. We were hardworking students who had such an unlikely balance of alcohol and books.
I miss those days when crazy alcohol parties got us all high and drunk and then puked everywhere. Police knocked on our door in the middle of the night, warning us to stop the crazy noise with the this: 'if the third time we're here, y'all would be in jail.'
I miss those days when we travelled from state to state by rental car, driving in 80-90 mph at night. The rental agent was surprised when we returned the car with an unbelivably 3500 miles of millage in 10 days.
I miss those days when it was so hot and we had been hermit for the whole summer at home during daytime that lasted until 9pm. Then we got nothing better to do than having gambling session all nite.
I miss the anthem '...O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave. O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.'
I miss Kentucky, the state that comes with the nick 'Blue Grass', alluding to the blue-grass region where the finest racing horses are bred and Ahem...and the greatest students are educated.
I miss everything in a town called Lexington.
Note: Lexington - the "Horse Capital of the World," located in the heart of the Bluegrass. It is the second largest city in Kentucky state.

Terror tears the peace apart
London's deadly terrorist bombings that tore through the transport system reminds me of 911 terrorist attack. I was in the states.

Subway trains booming in London
I remember that day. A call from a friend in Australia woke me up at 9:30am in the morning. I was told to turn on the TV and I did. Then I saw two 767 airplanes crashing into the Two Towers. I thought it was a movie on HBO, but CNN showed the horrible scene of people jumping out of the smoky towers. An hour later, my heart crashed as well when two of the towers crumbled to ground. I was staring at the TV for the whole day.

New York September 11
The dark cloud of terror is now covering London..

Everytime we hope not to let it happen again. But when the memories of past tragedy slowly fade away, then it happens all over. We'll never have peace in this bloody world...
My deepest condolences go to people who lost their beloved ones.

Chicken Job
I've got a job offer, but I was given two weeks to think about it.
Imagine a job that contains the following:
It's crazy to travel more frequent than an air-stewardess. Lena told me they know where they would be in the following month when they receive the duty roster. Unlike this job, when there's a million-dollar machine breaks down you have to travel all the way to fix it at any time.
So i think about it. Carefully (as i was told to). Then I rejected it.
Imagine a job that contains the following:
- 80% of traveling in 365 days (pls read more about it...)
- You would never know where you gonna be next week.
- You would never know when you gonna leave.
- You don't have to unpack your luggage at home because you would be flying in 2-4 days again.
- 4 days minimum/ 2 weeks maximum in a chicken farm, somewhere around in Asia Pacific (well, the farthest is Pakistan, the nearest, say, Jakarta)
- Your job is to fix an egg grading and packing machine that costs a few million bucks.
- Just put chicken smell out of the list.
- NOT A HIGH PAY JOB.

The World United Against Terrorism
This MTV advertisement was banned by US government. However, it was aired ONCE...

I got this forward mail from Jean this morning. A miserable feeling was sent through the net as well. Sometimes, our mind becomes so blind when we care too much about the dead and become so numb with the living.

Text next to the towers: "2,863 people died"
Text next to the guy: "40 milllion of HIV infected in the world."
"The world united against terrorism. It should also be united against AIDS"

Next to the towers: "2,863 people died"
Next to the kid: "824 million people starving in the world".
"The world united against terrorism. It should also be united against HUNGER."

Next to the towers: "2,863 people died"
Next to the old man: "630 million of homeless people in the world".
"The world united against terrorism. It should also be united against POVERTY".
Solidarity is needed.
