Do you know how Eskimos hunt polar bear? First of all, they kill a seal and spill the blood of seal into a bucket. Then they place a dagger into it, leaving the blood coagulated when it meets cold air. When it's done, an icy blood clot that looks like a red candy with a sharp dagger inside is placed on the snowfield.
Polar bear loves blood. He can smell blood miles away. Soon he found the red candy. He starts licking it excitedly like licking off an ice-cream. While he's enjoying himself in the excitement, the dagger cuts through his tongue and fresh fluid is shedding into his throat. He wonders why the blood is getting warmer and sweeter. Compound that with the seal's blood clot, he confuses both kind of bloods. Yet both tasted good!
In fact, he's getting weaker and weaker because of massive blood loss. Then the Eskimos come and take this feeble polar bear back to their igloos, ready to serve themselves a delightful dinner.
Moral of the story:
When you think you're getting ahead in life, having everything you want and enjoying what you have at this moment, would you stop for a second to think and see what's really going on around you? Are you sure you've made the right choice to stay at the current stage while you can actually leave everything behind to get yourself into a more advantageous position?
Life is never easy. Don't just say 'fuck it' and let everything stay at where it seems okay to be staying. You might be sucking your own blood off now like the polar bear.
P/S: I translated this polar bear story from an article on the net. But I made up the moral of the story. Ha.. Philosophic enough? hehe
